KITE CLASH 2019 

 Held at the world-renowned Squamish Spit, KiteClash is Canada’s largest kiteboarding competition.

With more than 70 athletes, KiteClash attracts some of the biggest names in the sport.

The 2019 event will take place August 22-25.  This year we anticipate our largest crowd (1,000+ spectators).

Friday August 22:
On-site Registration opens from 9 AM-10:30 AM.

7th Annual Canadian Freestyle Championships:

  • Event start approximately 11:30 AM (may vary with wind conditions).
  • Categories include Mens, Womens, Masters (over 35), Juniors (under 18).

Twin Tip Slalom Cross (Preliminary Eliminations):

  • Event start approximately 3 PM (may vary with wind conditions).
  • Categories include Open Mens, Open Womens.

Saturday August 23
On-site Registration opens from 9 AM-10:30 AM, 

Open Freestyle.

  • Event start approximately 11:30 AM (may vary with wind conditions).
  • Categories include Mens, Womens, Juniors (under 18).

Sunday August 24
On-site registration open from 9 AM-10:30 AM, 

Big Airstyle Comp

  • Event start approximately 11:30 AM (may vary with wind conditions).
  • Categories include Mens, Womens, Juniors (under 18).

TwinTip Slalom Cross Finals.

  • Event start approximately 3 PM (may vary with wind conditions).
  • Categories include Open Mens, Open Womens.

PARKING AND SHUTTLE INFORMATION:

The KiteClash event permit and safety plans stipulate access to The Spit at all times.  In order to avoid congestion, we ask that you use the following shuttle option. 

The Backcountry – KiteClash shuttle Van will run between Backcountry Brewing and the Spit between 11-6 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Pick up will be at Backcountry on the half hour.  Park at Backcountry Brewing and keep your car out of the dust!
