Attention all windsports enthusiasts! The Squamish Windsports Society is thrilled to announce that our season will be opening two days early this year on May 13th, 2023!

To celebrate the opening of the season, we will be hosting an opening ceremony on Spit Island. We will be joined by members of the community and windsports enthusiasts alike to kick off the start of another exciting season.

Following the opening ceremony, we will be holding a gear swap. This is the perfect opportunity to upgrade your equipment or pass on gear you no longer use to someone who will appreciate it. It will also be a great chance to meet other windsport enthusiasts and make some new friends before the season really kicks off.

The Squamish Windsports Society is committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all windsports enthusiasts. Whether you are an experienced rider or just starting out, there is something for everyone. We offer organized events, shuttle and rescue services throughout the season, as well as access to our incredible community of passionate windsport enthusiasts.

We can't wait to see everyone on May 13th for our opening ceremony and gear swap. Don't forget to bring your gear, as we'll be launching as soon as the wind kicks up!

Let's get ready to ride the winds of Squamish together!

Get ready to grab your passes! Early bird tickets for the Squamish Windsports Society's upcoming season will go on sale tomorrow, March 15th.

This is your chance to get in on the action early and save some money at the same time. Early bird tickets are available for a limited time only, so don't wait too long to secure your spot.

It's the perfect way to start the season off right and ensure that you don't miss a moment of the action.

As an added bonus this year, the first 300 memberships sold will receive a one year subscription to Kitesurfing Magazine.

We look forward to seeing you out on the water soon!

As you may be aware, an additional section of the Spit road is being removed, which has caused some concern about access to our launch sites.

We want to reassure everyone that the Squamish Windsports Society is committed to operating throughout this period of change. We are working closely with our community partners and advocating for safe and accessible launch sites for our members.

We understand that windsports is an important part of many people's lives, and we are dedicated to maintaining our services and programs. Our volunteers and staff are committed to ensuring that riders have access to the water, and that safety is always our top priority.

We will continue to keep our members updated on any developments related to the Spit road removal. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing everyone out on the water soon.
